New iPad Nano – release in march 2010!

… working in the movie business brings some advantages: a producer from Ireland was visiting me today and let me play with a beta device of the new apple iPad nano, rumored for a release in late march 2010. I had to take these pictures when my friend was not looking so please excuse the blurriness…

the device looks much the apple’s new iPad which was presented last wednesday but has a much smaller form factor. Encased in a durable plastic shell these babies will ship standard with a 3G chip and a 2 MP camera!!! it is possible that the plastic casing might even increase 3G reception generally.

I could only test the thing for a few minutes but i can confirm that existing iPad apps WILL work out of the box with the new and smaller iPad Nanos.

So for all you iPad lovers, there will be a device which is smaller, more portable and is able to make phonecalls. This might be Appes quick answer to a lot of people complaining about the iPads screen being too big and bulky and that the device would only fit in the pockets of cargo pants.

My friend from Ireland seems to be close with Steve Jobs. The CEO of the decade is in good health, joyfull spirits and calls the new iPad nano “cool”, “amazing” and “our smallest and most affordable iPad yet”
