I was in Lucerne this weekend and got a chance to look at the new iPhone, coming out in mid July. I was also able to take some hires photos which I would like to share with you: (click to enlarge)

On the left you see my 3G, on the right the new one. Note that the new one is a bit thicker, this might be due to digital compass and 3.2 MP camera. But the new phone makes up for it, the display has much deeper blacks and a lot more contrast. check out how bright and clear the icons look on the right. You will be interested to know that the headphone jack is completely gone, being replaced by a huge Bluetooth emitter that takes care of pushing music to the BT Headphones as well as data and video:

Generally the new Iphone feels thicker, more solid, heavier and a little bit more “roundish”. I will post videos of the new OS later. I got a pre-release 32GB Version, apple is obviously still rushing to finish the back of the new phone, mine neither had the apple logo or the GB infos:
